Re: Public comment Agenda Items Only

Pursuant to the request from citizens of Grand Island to speak on agenda items prior to the town board meeting, and after discussion on this with the town board members, I will set aside a portion on the agenda. for a new item as referenced above.

This will be in addition to the portion of the agenda ‘From The Floor” at the end of the meeting and will commence at the next town board meeting on March 3rd.

Comments or concerns will be strictly limited to items on. the agenda only, at the beginning of the meeting, and will exclude public hearings. The public hearing portion of the meeting allows for comments from the floor at that time.

Town board meetings will start on time at 8:00pm with the public comment Immediately following the pledge to our flag. I would request those addressing the chair be brie/and concise so we can move into the agenda items of the meeting and public hearings expeditiously.

I encourage different ideas but within the bounds of respect and civic discourse.
